A quick note on ethanol…
April 9, 2010
I wanted to throw this note out to all of the faithful followers of Marquis Energy via the Internet, and offer you some information you could use when running into the occasional critic of ethanol.
Did you know that the price of ethanol today is about $1.50 compared to wholesale gasoline selling for roughly $2.30? By combining this difference with the government subsidy offered to blenders of ethanol, ethanol is roughly $1.26 cheaper per gallon. Blended most commonly at 10% in all fuel (E-10), ethanol is making each gallon of gasoline you’re buying at the pump about 13 cents cheaper per gallon.
Check back occasionally as we hope to offer other pieces of information regarding the truth about ethanol.
